Arccos Reaches 1-Billion-Shots-Captured Milestone as Worldwide Member Growth Continues to Surge

Proven to Help Golfers Shoot Lower Scores, Golf’s #1 Game Tracking Platform Has Recorded More Than 20 Million Rounds Played Across 162 Countries

STAMFORD, Conn., August 13, 2024 Arccos the leader in connected A.I. golf products and the Official Game Tracker of the PGA TOUR today announced that it reached the 1-billion-shots-captured milestone as the company continues its mission to help golfers of all skill levels to play smarter and shoot lower scores.

Arccos’ unrivalled on-course data set now includes 2.5 trillion data points recorded during 20 million rounds played by Arccos’ hundreds of thousands of members worldwide. The historic billionth shot was taken by Jordan Cook on Sunday, July 21. At 1:34 pm local time, Cook hit an 8-iron approach shot from 145 yards on the seventh hole at Beverley Park Golf Club in suburban Sydney, Australia. A 31-year-old who began using Arccos in April 2023, Cook has since played 26 rounds with the system and lowered his handicap by 5 strokes.

“One billion shots is a massive number, but it’s really just the beginning of the journey we are on to revolutionise the game by connecting every golfer and the entire golf industry to what’s happening on the course,” said Sal Syed, Arccos CEO & Co-Founder. “Arccos was born from the belief that on-course data is the game’s most valuable data. We’ve made huge strides toward capturing that data simply, accurately and at scale and are leveraging it to drive the performance of our members from top tour players to everyday amateurs, as well as our business partners across the OEM, club fitting, retail, green grass and instruction segments. The opportunities before us are seemingly boundless and we have the team in place to achieve many, many great things.”

Golf’s #1 Game Tracker, Arccos is a trusted tool for amateurs and elite players worldwide, including Arccos Ambassadors Matthew Fitzpatrick, Edoardo Molinari, Ted Scott, Grant Horvat, and Erik Anders Lang. The system, which includes a smart sensor in each club grip paired with a mobile app, seamlessly tracks every shot a player takes on the course while helping players improve through features like an A.I. rangefinder, A.I. powered club recommendations, and personalized strokes gained analytics for every game facet.

“It’s pretty insane and a real privilege to be the guy who actually hit the 1 billionth shot with Arccos,” recalled Cook. “When I started using the system, I immediately realized value from the analysis of my strengths and weaknesses. It’s a great tool to help me see how I’m performing across each aspect of my game and get a real, unbiased sense of what I need to work on. I’ve dropped my handicap from a 15 to a 10 handicap in the past year. Without Arccos, that would never have been possible.

Continuing to evolve its platform to deliver even more value to members and partners, Arccos recently introduced PGA TOUR Quality Approach Shot. This feature highlights approach shots that have a proximity to the hole which is equal to or better than PGA TOUR average from the same distance and terrain. The result allows amateurs to contextualise their best shots from each round versus the performance of the world’s greatest players.
