Back To School: Arccos Golf joins NCCGA for Fall National Championship

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to go back to college, if even only for a few days, I can attest: it's a blast.

That much I know after spending the weekend at the NCCGA Fall National Championship at TPC San Antonio.

The National Collegiate Club Golf Association is the governing body nationwide for non-varsity collegiate golf. Each year, club golf teams from across the country vie for a chance to reach one of two national championships -- held in the fall and spring. 

During the fall semester, 32 teams made it past regional qualifying to reach the Fall National Championship. The NCCGA's parent organization, NextGenGolf works to make golf more accessible, affordable and fun for non-varsity college students and young professionals.

On Friday, UConn's Connor Beaulieu blasted it through a driving wind an impressive 317 yards to take the top honor and the winning prize: a set of Arccos! Georgia's Max Weyrick hit it 293 to take second place.

On Saturday, we held the first of two Closest to the Pin contests. Despite some howling winds, Colorado State's Adam Serbousek stuck it to four feet on the tough par-3 16th on TPC San Antonio's Canyons Course. 

Under much more playable conditions on Sunday, we saw many close shots on the par-3 4th hole at the Canyons Course. In the end, Nate Chadd of Mid-America Christian University, put it to 20 inches. That was the shot of the day and both par-3 winners will also receive a set of Arccos for their great shots.
